How did this happen? Well, being hideously unfit would obviously be a contributing factor, as would the fact that I'm a bit of a wuss when it comes to extended physical exertion. At the end of it though, I was simply sleep-deprived and dehydrated. I'd had about 4 hours of sleep the night before, and hadn't drunk anywhere near enough water during the day.
I guess this all goes to show that doing something like this is a bigger commitment than just turning up to class and giving your best for those 2 hours. You've really got to look after yourself right around the clock, from getting enough sleep to staying hydrated and eating the proper foods. It's difficult to do for a lot of people, and definitely for me, but it has to be done if not only because you want to improve your physical look, but simply from a health perspective.
Summer's around the corner here in Australia, and I'm starting to be revisited by memories of how much I hate not being able to cover up my weight with a good thick hoody like I can in the winter. Aside from all the obvious and straightforward health reasons, I need to drop some weight so I can actually be comfortable walking around in a shirt. Come on!
